LORI T. MILVAIN, Intellectual Property Partner,
recently topped the “500 Mark” at the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office. As of December, 2006, Ms. Milvain has filed and
prosecuted
506 federal trademark applications on behalf of clients.. Her experience
includes prosecution of trademarks
with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, trademark
cancellation and opposition proceedings, copyright
registration with the U.S. Copyright Office, intellectual property
litigation and appeals, and prosecuting and defending
domain name complaints with the Internet Corporation
for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). She regularly
counsels clients regarding the protection of these
and
other valuable intangible assets, such as trade secrets
and trade dress. She also has experience in the formation
of operating entities, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual
property and technology license agreements, and software
license agreements.
